5:1 Զերիցունս այսուհետեւ աղաչեմ, իբրեւ զերիցակից եւ վկայ չարչարանացն Քրիստոսի, որ եւ հանդերձեալ փառացն յայտնելոյ հաղորդ:

5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
|
5:2 արածեցէք որ ի ձեզ հօտդ է Աստուծոյ, վերակացու լինել մի՛ իբրեւ ակամայ, այլ կամաւ [39]ըստ Աստուծոյ``. մի՛ զօշաքաղութեամբ, այլ յօժարութեամբ:
|
5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind:
|
5:3 մի՛ իբրեւ տիրելով վիճակացն, այլ լինել օրինակ հօտին:
|
5:3 Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock:
|
5:4 զի յերեւել Հովուապետին ընդունիջիք զանթառամ փառաց պսակն:
|
5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away:
|
5:5 Սոյնպէս եւ, երիտասարդք, հնազանդ լերուք ծերոց. ամենեքին ընդ միմեանս զխոնարհութիւն ունիցիք. զի Աստուած ամբարտաւանից հակառակ կայ, տայ շնորհս խոնարհաց:
|
5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble:
|
5:6 Խոնարհեցարուք ընդ հզօր ձեռամբն Աստուծոյ, զի զձեզ բարձրացուսցէ ի ժամանակի:
|
5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
|
5:7 Զամենայն հոգս ձեր ընկեցէք ի նա, զի նա է որ հոգայ վասն ձեր:
|
5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you:
|
5:8 Արթուն լերուք, հսկեցէք, զի ոսոխն ձեր Սատանայ իբրեւ զառեւծ գոչէ, շրջի եւ խնդրէ թէ զո՛ կլանիցէ:
|
5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
|
5:9 Որում ի դիմի հարկանիցիք հաստատեալք հաւատովք. գիտասջիք զնոյն անցս չարչարանաց եղբայրութեան ձերոյ յաշխարհի յանձինս կատարեալ:
|
5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world:
|
5:10 Եւ Աստուած ամենայն շնորհաց որ կոչեաց [40]զձեզ յիւր ի յաւիտենական ի փառսն Քրիստոսիւ Յիսուսիւ, որում փոքր մի եղերուք չարչարակիցք, նա կազդուրեցուսցէ, կարողացուսցէ, հաստահիմն [41]արասցէ:

5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle:
|
5:11 Նմա իշխանութիւն եւ փառք յաւիտեանս: Ամէն:
|
5:11 To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen:
|
5:12 Ի ձեռն Սիղուանոսի հաւատարիմ եղբօր, որպէս կարծեմ, փոքր ի շատէ գրեցի ձեզ` մխիթարել եւ ի վերայ սորին վկայել, զի եւ այս ճշմարիտ շնորհք յԱստուծոյ են յոր հաստատեալ կայցէք:

5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand:
|
5:13 Ողջոյն տայ ձեզ որ ի Բաբելոն ընտրելակիցն [42]եկեղեցի է, եւ Մարկոս որդի իմ:
|
5:13 The [church that is] at Babylon, elected together with [you], saluteth you; and [so doth] Marcus my son:
|
5:14 Ողջոյն տաջիք միմեանց ի համբոյր [43]սրբութեան: Խաղաղութիւն ընդ ձեզ ամենեսեան, որ էք ի Քրիստոս Յիսուս: Ամէն:
|
5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace [be] with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen:
