36:1 Եւ ա՛ռ ժողովուրդ երկրին զՅովաքազ որդի Յովսեայ, եւ [493]օծին զնա եւ`` կացուցին զնա թագաւոր փոխանակ հօր նորա յԵրուսաղէմ:

36:1 Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father' s stead in Jerusalem:

36:2 Որդի քսան եւ երից ամաց էր Յովաքազ ի թագաւորելն իւրում. եւ զերիս ամիսս թագաւորեաց յԵրուսաղէմ. [494]եւ անուն մօր նորա Ամիտալ, դուստր Երեմիայի ի Ղոբնայ. եւ արար չար առաջի Տեառն` ըստ ամենայնի զոր ինչ արարին հարքն նորա:

36:2 Jehoahaz [was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem:
|
36:3 Եւ կապեաց զնա փարաւոն Նեքաւով ի Դեբղաթայ` յերկիրն Եմաթայ, ոչ եւս թագաւորել նմա յԵրուսաղէմ. եւ տարաւ զնա արքայն յԵգիպտոս``. եւ արկ ի վերայ երկրին հարկ հարեւր տաղանդ արծաթոյ, եւ տաղանդ մի ոսկւոյ:

36:3 And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold:
|
36:4 Եւ [495]կացոյց փարաւոն Նեքաւով զԵղիակիմ որդի Յովսեայ արքայի Յուդայ փոխանակ Յովսեայ հօր նորա``. եւ փոխեաց զանուն նորա Յովակիմ. եւ զՅովաքազ եղբայր նորա ա՛ռ [496]փարաւոն Նեքաւով, եւ տարաւ յԵգիպտոս. [497]եւ մեռաւ անդ: Եւ զարծաթն եւ զոսկին ետուն փարաւոնի. յայնմ հետէ սկսաւ տալ հարկս երկիրն. եւ ետուն զարծաթն ըստ բերանոյ փարաւոնի. եւ յիւրաքանչիւր ումեքէ ըստ զօրութեան իւրոյ պահանջէին զարծաթն եւ զոսկին ի ժողովրդենէ երկրին, տալ զայն փարաւոնի Նեքաւովայ:

36:4 And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt:
|
36:5 Էր քսան եւ հինգ ամաց Յովակիմ ի թագաւորելն իւրում, եւ զմետասան ամ թագաւորեաց յԵրուսաղէմ. [498]եւ անուն մօր նորա Զեկքովրայ դուստր Ներեայ ի Ռամայ. եւ արար չար առաջի Տեառն ըստ ամենայնի զոր ինչ արարին հարքն նորա: Յաւուրս նորա ել Նաբուքոդոնոսոր արքայ Բաբելոնի յերկիրն. եւ ծառայեաց նմա ամիսս երիս, եւ ապստամբեաց ի նմանէ: Եւ առաքեաց Տէր զՔաղդեացիսն եւ զաւազակսն Ասորեաց, եւ զաւազակսն Մովաբացւոց եւ որդւոցն Ամոնայ եւ Սամարիայ: Եւ ի բաց կացին յետ բանիցս այսոցիկ ըստ բանի Տեառն ի ձեռն ծառայից իւրոց մարգարէից. սակայն սրտմտութիւն ի Տեառնէ էր ի վերայ Յուդայ, ի բաց բառնալ զնա յերեսաց իւրոց, վասն մեղացն Մանասէի յամենայնի զոր ինչ արար, եւ անպարտ արեանցն զոր եհեղ Մանասէ, եւ ելից զԵրուսաղէմ անպարտ արեամբ. եւ ոչ կամեցաւ Տէր սատակել զնոսա:

36:5 Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God:
|
36:6 Եւ ել ի վերայ նորա Նաբուքոդոնոսոր արքայ Բաբելոնի, եւ կապեաց զնա պղնձի կապանօք [499]եւ տարաւ`` զնա ի Բաբելոն:
|
36:6 Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon:
|
36:7 Եւ մասն ինչ ի սպասուց տանն Տեառն տարաւ ի Բաբելոն, եւ եդ զայն ի տաճարին իւրում որ ի Բաբելոն:
|
36:7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon:
|
36:8 Եւ մնացեալ բանքն Յովակիմայ եւ [500]ամենայն ինչ զոր արար``, ո՞չ աւանիկ գրեալ են նոքա ի գիրս բանից [501]աւուրց թագաւորացն Յուդայ: Եւ ննջեաց Յովակիմ ընդ հարս իւր, եւ թաղեցաւ ի Գանովզայ` ընդ հարս իւր.`` եւ թագաւորեաց Յեքոնիա որդի նորա փոխանակ նորա:

36:8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead:
|
36:9 Որդի ութեւտասն ամաց էր Յեքոնիաս ի թագաւորելն իւրում, եւ ամիսս երիս եւ աւուրս տասն թագաւորեաց յԵրուսաղէմ եւ արար չար առաջի Տեառն:
|
36:9 Jehoiachin [was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD:
|
36:10 Եւ ի դառնալ տարւոյն առաքեաց արքայն Նաբուքոդոնոսոր եւ տարաւ զնա ի Բաբելոն, հանդերձ ցանկալի սպասուք տանն Տեառն. եւ թագաւորեցոյց զՍեդեկիաս եղբայր հօր նորա ի վերայ Յուդայ յԵրուսաղէմ:

36:10 And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem:
|
36:11 Ամաց քսան եւ միոյ էր Սեդեկիաս ի թագաւորելն իւրում, եւ մետասան ամ թագաւորեաց յԵրուսաղէմ:
|
36:11 Zedekiah [was] one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem:
|
36:12 Եւ արար չար առաջի Տեառն Աստուծոյ իւրոյ. ոչ պատկառեաց յերեսաց Երեմիայի մարգարէի [502]եւ ի բանիցն`` Տեառն:
|
36:12 And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God, [and] humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of the LORD:
|
36:13 Եւ յապստամբելն նորա ի Նաբուքոդոնոսորայ արքայէ, եւ անցանելոյ զերդմամբքն զոր երդմնեցոյց զնա յԱստուած իւր, խստացոյց զպարանոց իւր, եւ զսիրտ իւր կարծրացոյց` ոչ եւս դառնալ առ Տէր Աստուած Իսրայելի:

36:13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel:
|
36:14 Եւ ամենայն [503]փառաւորքն Յուդայ, եւ քահանայք`` եւ ժողովուրդք երկրին յաճախեցին անօրինել անօրէնութիւնս ըստ գարշելեաց ազգացն, եւ պղծեցին զտունն [504]Տեառն յԵրուսաղէմ:

36:14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem:
|
36:15 Եւ առաքեաց Տէր Աստուած հարցն նոցա ի ձեռն մարգարէիցն [505]կանխեալ առաքեաց զհրեշտակս իւր``. վասն զի խնայէր ի ժողովուրդն իւր եւ ի սրբութիւնն իւր:
|
36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
|
36:16 Արհամարհէին զհրեշտակս նորա, եւ անգոսնէին զբանս նորա, եւ խաղ առնէին զմարգարէսն. մինչեւ եղեւ բարկութիւն Տեառն ի վերայ ժողովրդեան իւրոյ, եւ ոչ եւս գոյր այնուհետեւ նոցա բժշկութիւն:

36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till [there was] no remedy:
|
36:17 Եւ ած ի վերայ նոցա զթագաւորն Քաղդէացւոց. կոտորեաց զերիտասարդս նոցա սրով ի տան սրբութեան իւրոյ, եւ ոչ խնայեաց [506]ի Սեդեկիաս. կուսանաց նոցա ոչ ողորմեցաւ, եւ զծերս նոցա զամենեսեան մատնեաց ի ձեռս նոցա:

36:17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave [them] all into his hand:
|
36:18 Եւ զամենայն սպաս տանն Աստուծոյ զմեծամեծս եւ զփոքունս, եւ [507]զամենայն գանձն`` արքային եւ մեծամեծացն, զամենայն տարաւ ի Բաբելոն:
|
36:18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all [these] he brought to Babylon:
|
36:19 Եւ այրեաց զտունն Տեառն, եւ կործանեաց զպարիսպն Երուսաղեմի, եւ զապարանսն որ ի նմա այրեաց հրով, եւ զամենայն անօթ գեղեցիկ ապականեաց:
|
36:19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof:
|
36:20 Եւ գերեաց [508]զմնացորդսն ի Բաբելոն. եւ էին անդ` նմա եւ որդւոց նորա ի ծառայութիւն, մինչեւ ի թագաւորութիւնն [509]Մարաց:
|
36:20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
|
36:21 առ ի լնուլ բանին Տեառն ի բերանոյ Երեմիայի, մինչեւ ընկալաւ երկիրն զշաբաթս իւր. եւ շաբաթանալով զամենայն աւուրս աւերածոյն իւրոյ, շաբաթացաւ ի կատարումն ամացն եւթանասնից:

36:21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: [for] as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years:
|
36:22 Յառաջնում ամին Կիւրոսի արքայի Պարսից, յետ լնլոյ բանին Տեառն ի բերանոյ Երեմիայի, զարթոյց Տէր զհոգի Կիւրոսի Պարսից արքայի. եւ պատուիրեաց քարոզել յամենայն թագաւորութեանն իւրում գրով եւ ասել:

36:22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD [spoken] by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying:

36:23 Այսպէս ասէ Կիւրոս արքայ Պարսից. Զամենայն թագաւորութիւնս երկրի ետ ինձ Տէր Աստուած երկնից. եւ նա պատուիրեաց ինձ շինել իւր տուն յԵրուսաղէմ ի Հրէաստանի: Որ ոք ի ձէնջ յամենայն ժողովրդենէ նորա իցէ, Տէր Աստուած իւր եղիցի ընդ նմա, եւ ելցէ:

36:23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which [is] in Judah. Who [is there] among you of all his people? The LORD his God [be] with him, and let him go up:
