16:1 Եւ եղեն որդւոցն Յովսեփայ սահմանք, ի Յորդանանէ հանդէպ Երիքովի, ի ջրոյ անտի [293]որ հանդէպ`` Երիքովի յարեւելից, ընդ անապատն եւ ամբառնան յԵրիքովէ ի լեռնակողմ [294]անապատին ի Բեթէղղուզա:

16:1 And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Beth- el:
|
16:2 եւ ելանեն [295]ի Բեթէղղուզայ եւ անցանեն առ սահմանօքն Արքիատարովթայ:
|
16:2 And goeth out from Beth- el to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth:
|
16:3 եւ ելանեն ընդ ծովակողմն ի սահմանսն Յեփաղթեայ, մինչեւ ցսահմանս Բեթորոնայ ներքնոյ եւ մինչեւ ցԳազեր, եւ եղիցին ելք նոցա ընդ ծովակողմն:

16:3 And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Beth- horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea:

16:4 Եւ ժառանգեցին որդիքն Յովսեփայ` Եփրեմ եւ Մանասէ:
|
16:4 So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance:
|
16:5 Եւ եղեն սահմանք որդւոցն Եփրեմայ ըստ տոհմից իւրեանց. եւ եղեն սահմանք ժառանգութեան նոցա յարեւելից` Ատարովթ Ադար, մինչեւ ցԲեթորոնն վերին [296]եւ ցԳազեր:

16:5 And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was [thus]: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Ataroth- addar, unto Beth- horon the upper:

16:6 եւ անցանեն սահմանքն ընդ ծովակողմն ի Մաքովթ ի հիւսիսոյ, եւ պատիցի սահմանն ընդ արեւելս ի Թենաթսելով, եւ անցանէ յարեւելից առ Յանովաւ:

16:6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanath- shiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah:

16:7 եւ իջցէ Յանովայ յԱտարովթ եւ ի Նաարաթա, եւ [297]աւանք նոցա`` անցցեն առ Երիքոյիւ եւ հանցեն ի Յորդանան:
|
16:7 And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan:
|
16:8 եւ ի Թափուեայ անցցեն սահմանքն ի ծովակողմն` ի հեղեղատն Կանայ, եւ եղիցին ելք նորա ի ծովակողմն: Այս է ժառանգութիւն ցեղի որդւոցն Եփրեմի ըստ տոհմից իւրեանց:

16:8 The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families:

16:9 եւ քաղաքքն զատուցեալք որդւոցն Եփրեմի ի մէջ ժառանգութեան որդւոցն Մանասէի, ամենայն քաղաքք եւ աւանք նոցա:
|
16:9 And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim [were] among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages:
|
16:10 Եւ ոչ կորոյս Եփրեմ զՔանանացին բնակեալ ի Գազեր, եւ բնակէր Քանանացին ի մէջ Եփրեմայ մինչեւ ցայսօր. [298]մինչեւ ել փարաւոն արքայ Եգիպտացւոց եւ առ զքաղաքն, եւ այրեաց զնա հրով, եւ զՔանանացին եւ զՓերեզացին զբնակեալն ի Գազեր խոտեաց, եւ ետ զնա փարաւոն պաշտատական դստեր իւրում.`` եւ եղեն ծառայք հարկատուրք:

16:10 And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute:
