11:2 Արտաշիսի արքայի մեծի, յառաջնում աւուր ամսոյն Ադարայ, որ է Հայերէն Արեգ, տեսիլ ետես Մուրթքէ որդի Յայիրայ, որդւոյ Սեմեայ, որդւոյ Կիսեայ, յազգէ Բենիամինի, այր Հրեայ:

11:2 of Artexerxes the great, in the first day of the month Nisan, Mardocheus the son of Jairus, the son of Semei, the son of Cisai, of the tribe of Benjamin, had a dream:

11:3 եւ էր բնակեալ ի [2]Սիսիս քաղաքի. այր մեծ եւ հաւատարիմ ամենայն իրաց տան թագաւորին:
|
11:3 Who was a Jew, and dwelt in the city of Susa, a great man, being a servitor in the king' s court:
|
11:4 Եւ էր նա ի գերութենէ անտի զոր գերեաց Նաբուքոդոնոսոր արքայ Բաբելացւոց յԵրուսաղեմէ` Յեքոնիաւ հանդերձ արքայիւն Հրէաստանի:

11:4 He was also one of the captives, which Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon carried from Jerusalem with Jechonias king of Judea; and this was his dream:
|
11:5 Եւ այս է երազ տեսլեան նորա զոր տեսանէր. Ձայն խռովութեանց եւ որոտմանց եւ շարժմանց. եւ էր խռովութիւն մեծ ի վերայ երկրի:
|
11:5 Behold a noise of a tumult, with thunder, and earthquakes, and uproar in the land:
|
11:6 Եւ ահաւասիկ երկու վիշապք մեծք յոյժ, պատրաստեալ ելանէին ի կռիւ ընդ միմեանս:
|
11:6 And, behold, two great dragons came forth ready to fight, and their cry was great:
|
11:7 Եւ եղեւ ի նոցանէն ձայն մեծ, եւ ի ձայնէ բարբառոյ նոցա պատրաստեցան ամենայն ազգք ի պատերազմ, զի տացեն պատերազմ ընդ ազգին արդարոյ:
|
11:7 And at their cry all nations were prepared to battle, that they might fight against the righteous people:
|
11:8 Եւ էր օրն խաւարին եւ մթին, տառապանաց եւ նեղութեանց, եւ էր խռովութիւն մեծ ի վերայ երկրի:
|
11:8 And lo a day of darkness and obscurity, tribulation and anguish, affliction and great uproar, upon earth:
|
11:9 եւ խռովեցաւ ամենայն ազգն արդար վասն իւրեանց չարեացն, եւ պատրաստեցան ի կորուստ. եւ կարդացին նոքա առ Աստուած:

11:9 And the whole righteous nation was troubled, fearing their own evils, and were ready to perish:
|
11:10 Եւ ի ձայնէ անտի նոցա եղեւ իբրեւ ի փոքրիկ աղբերէ գետ մեծ` յստակ:
|
11:10 Then they cried unto God, and upon their cry, as it were from a little fountain, was made a great flood, even much water:
|
11:11 Եւ արեգակն ծագեաց, եւ խոնարհքն բարձրացան եւ կերան զփառաւորսն:
|
11:11 The light and the sun rose up, and the lowly were exalted, and devoured the glorious:
|
11:12 Եւ զարթեաւ Մուրթքէ ի տեսլենէ աստի յայսմանէ, զոր Աստուածն խորհեցաւ առնել. եւ ունէր զտեսիլ երազոյն ի սրտի իւրում, եւ յամենայն զօրութենէ իւրմէ կամէր գիտել` եթէ զի՛նչ իցէ տեսիլն զոր ետես անդէն ի նմին գիշերի:

11:12 Now when Mardocheus, who had seen this dream, and what God had determined to do, was awake, he bare this dream in mind, and until night by all means was desirous to know it:
