11:1 Հանճար իմաստութեան խոնարհաց զգլուխս բարձր առնէ, եւ նստուցանէ ընդ իշխանս[42]:

11:1 1. The wisdom of the lowly shall lift up his head, And make him to sit in the midst of great men.
11:1 Wisdom lifteth up the head of him that is of low degree, and maketh him to sit among great men: |
11:2 Ընդ գեղ մարդոյ մի՛ զարմանար, եւ զայր յականէ մի՛ խոտեր:

11:4 4. Glory not in the putting on of raiment, And exalt not thyself in the day of honour; For the works of the Lord are wonderful, And his works are hidden among men.
11:4 Boast not of thy clothing and raiment, and exalt not thyself in the day of honour: for the works of the Lord are wonderful, and his works among men are hidden: |
11:5 Բազում իշխանք անկան ՛ի գետին, եւ որում ակն ո՛չ ոք ունէր` կապեցաւ նմա թագ:

11:7 Blame not before thou hast examined the truth: understand first, and then rebuke: |
11:8 Զիրս որ ոչ գիտես` մի՛ զրուցեր, եւ ՛ի մէջ բանից մի՛ անկանիր:

11:10 Ո՛րդեակ` մի՛ բազմօք անկանիր ՛ի գործ, զի թէ յաճախես` ո՛չ կարես բաւել. եւ թէ զհետ երթաս` չհասանիս, եւ թէ խոյս տաս` չապրիս[43]:

11:10 8. Answer not before thou hast heard; And interrupt not in the midst of speech.
11:10 My son, meddle not with many matters: for if thou meddle much, thou shalt not be innocent; and if thou follow after, thou shalt not obtain, neither shalt thou escape by fleeing: |
11:11 Զի է ոք որ ջանայ` վաստակէ, եւ առաւել եւս կարօտ գտանի[44]:

11:11 9. Strive not in a matter that concerneth thee not; And where sinners judge, sit not thou with them.
11:11 There is one that laboureth, and taketh pains, and maketh haste, and is so much the more behind: |
11:12 Եւ է՛ ոք նուազեալ ՛ի զօրութենէ, եւ լի աղքատութեամբ, եւ տկար եւ կարօտ օգնականի:

11:12 10. My son, be not busy about many matters: For if thou meddle much, thou shalt not be unpunished; And if thou pursue, thou shalt not overtake; And thou shalt not escape by fleeing.
11:12 Again, there is another that is slow, and hath need of help, wanting ability, and full of poverty: |
11:13 եւ յանկարծակի հայեցաւ ՛ի նա Տէր բարութեամբ, կանգնեաց զնա ՛ի տկարութենէ. եւ բարձրացոյց զգլուխ նորա:

11:13 11. There is one that toileth, and laboureth, and maketh haste, And is so much the more behind.
11:13 yet the eye of the Lord looked upon him for good, and set him up from his low estate, and lifted up his head from misery; so that many that saw from him is peace over all the: |
11:14 Կեանք եւ մահ, բարի եւ չար, մեծութիւն եւ աղքատութիւն, առաջի Աստուծոյ հաւասա՛ր են:

11:14 12. There is one that is sluggish, and hath need of help, Lacking in strength, and that aboundeth in poverty; And the eyes of the Lord looked upon him for good, And he set him up from his low estate,
11:14 Prosperity and adversity, life and death, poverty and riches, come of the Lord: |
11:15 Սէր եւ իմաստութիւն` եւ ճանապարհ գործոց բարեաց ՛ի նմանէ է:

11:15 13. And lifted up his head; And many marvelled at him.
11:15 Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the law, are of the Lord: love, and the way of good works, are from him: |
11:16 Մոլորութիւն եւ խաւար վասն մեղաց հաստատեցաւ: Չարութիւն ընդ նոսին հնանայ` որ գնան չարութեամբ:

11:16 14. Good things and evil, life and death, Poverty and riches, are from the Lord.
11:16 Error and darkness had their beginning together with sinners: and evil shall wax old with them that glory therein: |
11:17 Պարգեւք Տեառն ՛ի վերայ արդարոց հաստատին:

11:17 The gift of the Lord remaineth with the ungodly, and his favour bringeth prosperity for ever: |
11:18 Մեծութիւն է` որ ՛ի պնդութենէ լինի: Եւ այն է մասն նորա:

11:18 There is that waxeth rich by his wariness and pinching, and this his the portion of his reward: |
11:19 յորժամ ասիցէ ՛ի բարութենէ իմմէ կերայց եւ արբից:

11:19 17. The gift of the Lord remaineth with the godly, And his good pleasure shall prosper for ever.
11:19 Whereas he saith, I have found rest, and now will eat continually of my goods: |
11:20 եւ ո՛չ գիտէ զպատահումն իւր, զի թողուցու զայն օտարաց` եւ ինքն մեռանիցի:

11:20 18. There is that waxeth rich by his wariness and pinching, And this is the portion of his reward:
11:20 and yet he knoweth not what time shall come upon him, and that he must leave those things to others, and die. KJV [20] Be stedfast in thy covenant, and be conversant therein, and wax old in thy work: |
11:22 Ո՛րդեակ` ընդ գործս ամբարշտաց մի՛ զարմանար, զի եղծանելեաւս զեղծանելին ստանայ: Այլ հաւատա՛ ՛ի Տէր:

11:22 19. When he saith, I have found rest, And now will I eat of my goods; Yet he knoweth not what time shall pass, And he shall leave them to others, and die.
11:22 Marvel not at the works of sinners; but trust in the Lord, and abide in thy labour: |
11:23 զի դիւրին է յաչս Տեառն մեծ առնել զաղքատն:

11:23 20. Be stedfast in thy covenant, and be conversant therein, And wax old in thy work.
11:23 for it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord on the sudden to make a poor man rich. KJV [22] The blessing of the Lord is in the reward of the godly, and suddenly he maketh his blessing flourish. KJV [23] Say not, What profit is there of my service? and what good things shall I have hereafter? KJV [24] Again, say not, I have enough, and possess many things, and what evil shall I have hereafter: |
11:27 Մի՛ յաւուրս չարեաց մոռանար զբարի, եւ մի՛ յաւուրս բարւոյ մոռանար զչար:

11:27 21. Marvel not at the works of a sinner; But trust the Lord, and abide in thy labour: For it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord swiftly on the sudden to make a poor man rich.
11:27 In the day of prosperity there is a forgetfulness of affliction: and in the day of affliction there is no more remembrance of prosperity. KJV [26] For it is an easy thing unto the Lord in the day of death to reward a man according to his ways: |
11:29 Մոռացուսցեն վիշտք զփափկութիւն եւ զգեղ. եւ յայտնութիւն գործոց կատարած մարդոյ:

11:29 22. The blessing of the Lord is in the reward of the godly; And in an hour that cometh swiftly he maketh his blessing to flourish.
11:29 The affliction of an hour maketh a man forget pleasure: and in his end his deeds shall be discovered: |
11:30 Մի՛ ումեք երաներ յառաջ քան զվախճան` զի որդւոյ մարդոյ մարթեսցես առնուլ զչափ նորա[45]:

11:30 23. Say not, What use is there of me? And what from henceforth shall my good things be?
11:30 Judge none blessed before his death: for a man shall be known in his children: |
11:31 Մի՛ զամենայն մարդ ՛ի տուն քո տանիր, զի դարանք Սատանայի պատրաստեն ՛ի նմա նենգութիւն[46]:

11:31 24. Say not, I have sufficient, And from henceforth what harm shall happen unto me?
11:31 Bring not every man into thine house: for the deceitful man hath many trains: |
11:32 Զայր իմաստուն եւ զողջախոհ յամենայն ժամ սիրեսցես. զի ամբարտաւանն սրտիւ եւ նենգաւոր իբրեւ զդէտ գիտէ զնենգութիւն, զի բազմադիմի է չարիք նորա:

11:32 25. In the day of good things there is a forgetfulness of evil things; And in the day of evil things a man will not remember things that are good.
11:32 Like as a partridge taken [and kept] in a cage, so is the heart of the proud; and like as a spy, watcheth he for thy fall: |
11:33 Որպէս շուն` զի ուր մտանէ յափշտակէ, սոյնպէս եւ անօրէնն ուր հասանէ` սատակէ եւ խռովէ:

11:33 26. For it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord To reward a man in the day of death according to his ways.
11:33 For he lieth in wait, and turneth good into evil, and in things worthy praise will lay blame upon thee: |
11:34 ՛Ի փոքր վշտոյ վառի հուր, սոյնպէս եւ անօրէնն ՛ի փոքր ինչ իրաց հեղու զարիւն իբրեւ զջուր[47]:

11:34 27. The affliction of an hour causeth forgetfulness of delight; And in the last end of a man is the revelation of his deeds.
11:34 Of a spark of fire a heap of coals is kindled: and a sinful man layeth wait for blood: |
11:35 ՛Ի չարագործէ զգո՛յշ լեր` գուցէ ՛ի բամբասանս ածցէ զքեզ:

11:35 28. Call no man blessed before his death; And a man shall be known in his children.
11:35 Take heed of a mischievous man, for he worketh wickedness; lest he bring upon thee a perpetual blot. KJV [34] Receive a stranger into thine house, and he will disturb thee, and turn thee out of thine own: |
