8:1 Մի՛ հակառակիր ընդ առն հզօրի, գուցէ անկցիս ՛ի ձեռս նորա:

8:11 8. Neglect not the discourse of the wise, And be conversant with their proverbs; For of them thou shalt learn instruction, And how to minister to great men.
8:11 Rise not up [in anger] at the presence of an injurious person, lest he lie in wait to entrap thee in thy words: |
8:15 Առն հզօրի փոխ մի՛ տար, եւ թէ տաս` համարեա՛ թէ կորուսեր:

8:12 9. Miss not the discourse of the aged; For they also learned of their fathers: Because from them thou shalt learn understanding, And to give answer in time of need.

8:17 Ընդդէմ դատաւորի ոսոխ մի՛ կար` զի մի՛ ըստ փառաց նորա դատեսցեն զքեզ:

8:14 11. Rise not up from the presence of an insolent man, Lest he lie in wait as an ambush for thy mouth.
8:14 Go not to law with a judge; for they will judge for him according to his honour: |
8:18 Ճանապարհ ընդ համարձակ մարդոյ մի՛ երթար, զի մի՛ զամենայն ինչ ՛ի վերայ քո ծանրացուսցէ. զի նա զոր առնէ` ըստ կամս իւր առնէ, եւ դու յանմտութենէ նորա կորնչիս:

8:15 12. Lend not to a man that is mightier than thyself; And if thou lend, be as one that hath lost.
8:15 Travel not by the way with a bold fellow, lest he become grievous unto thee: for he will do according to his own will, and thou shalt perish with him through his folly: |
8:19 Մի՛ գնար մէն ընդ առն բարկացողի, եւ մի՛ կագիր ընդ նմա. զի յաչս նորա թեթեւ թուի արիւն:

8:20 Ո՛րդեակ` ՛ի խորհուրդ մի՛ մտաներ ընդ առն մորոսի, զի յինքն ո՛չ կարէ պահել զբանս քո:

8:17 14. Go not to law with a judge; For according to his honour will they give judgement for him.

8:21 Օտարաց առաջի զգաղտնի գործ մի՛ գործեր, զի զպատահումն քո ՛ի նոցանէ ո՛չ գիտես:

8:18 15. Go not in the way with a rash man, Lest he be aggrieved with thee; For he will do according to his own will, And thou shalt perish with his folly.
8:18 Do no secret thing before a stranger; for thou knowest not what he will bring forth: |
8:22 Զսիրտ քո ամենայն մարդոյ մի՛ տարածաներ, զի մի՛ տարապարտուց շնորհս վարկանիցեն քեզ:

8:19 16. Fight not with a wrathful man, And travel not with him through the desert: For blood is as nothing in his sight; And where there is no help, he will overthrow thee.
