1. В пределах книг Ветхого Завета наиболее пространное учение о премудрости божественной мы встречаем в книгах: Притчей Соломоновых, Премудрости Соломоновой и Премудрости Иисуса, сына Сирахова. В объем понятия премудрости божественной священные писатели включают или понятие о Премудрости ипостасной; или понятие о Премудрости, как свойстве ума божественного, проявляемого в мировом творении; или понятие о мудрости человеческой, созданной во образ Премудрости божественной. В данной главе идет речь совместно и о творческой премудрости ума божественного (Притч III:19: ), и о Премудрости ипостасной, действиями которой запечатлено бытие всей сущей благости (Ин I:1–5) .
